We don’t just do sailing. Perhaps combining a sailing trip with walking or cycling ashore, touring a coastline on a paddleboard or star gazing at night is in your to-do list?

Throughout the year we offer various events that go beyond just sailing. Perhaps, combining a mountain ascent or coastal hike in one of Scotland’s amazing islands or coastal gems? Ever wanted to see the night sky, a full moon, or star filled sky unhindered by city lights? Our evening night sky trips often run at short notice when the weather is favourable.

We also offer private yacht use for important life events like weddings and special events such as birthday and stag/hen parties. We can also assist with special requests to celebrate life. Dark Sky Trips - Firth of Clyde

Kip to Kip

Join us during International Dark Sky Week 2023 as we head out into the Clyde, away from the glare of headlights, streetlights and city lights to seek out a clear, star filled sky. Step aboard our yacht and get kitted up with safety gear at our home base in Kip Marina before we slip out into the Clyde and head for an area with a few less street lights to distract us.

After a short motor from the marina you will be able to enjoy the quiet of the evening as dusk slips into night and the stars begin to appear. With timing selected to ensure the moon is hiding away it’s hopeful that we can get a great view of the night sky.

We do our best to only head out on evenings that are forecast to have clear sky and we may need to adjust or cancel a sailing depending on weather. If we can’t reschedule your trip to suit you will be issued with a refund.
