Mull and the Hebrides Explorer

The Isle of Mull is one of the most amazing spots for touring in Scotland. We take in some of the most amazing spots on the lesser travelled routes. With options to spend time ashore taking in some amazing walks, spending time lazing on beaches or visiting some amazing island communities this trip is always fun filled.

Tobermory from amos park view point.

Heading out from the west coast town of Oban, familiarisation and safety briefs will start your trip off as we head for the Isle of Mull. With options for a North or South route depending on weather it won’t be long before you are settled in for a night aboard before heading ashore at our first stop

With a mix of amazing overnight anchorages, and marina stops you really can experience the best of island cruising.

Easing our way around Mull we will also have the opportunity to visit the nearby isles of Iona, Tiree and Coll during our week, each being weather dependent.

We will provide safety equipment for your time on the yacht, however you should have your own walking equipment suitable to any walking you plan to do ashore. For information on what you need to make your time comfortable onboard the yacht please click here.

Travel:

Oban is well served with rail and road access and also has a small airport (mainly serving private planes and the island communities). We think though, that the train journey from Glasgow is well worth considering as it takes in some of Scotland’s most amazing scenery as it snakes it’s way through Scottish Lochs and mountains. Car Parking is also available to book online, in advance, for various car parks in the Oban area. You can offload at the pontoons car park before parking your vehicle . Oban is also served by EV charge points from a number of different vendors.
