Scottish Series 2019
Event ID: May2319TC
Skipper (Subject to change): To Be Confirmed
Event Type: Public Event, Passage Racing, Female Crew
Event Class: Cruise (Day Sailing with overnight stops)
Join us as we compete in one of Scotland’s premier sailing events, the Scottish Series. This year we will be trying something a little different and hosting our first all female crew for the event. With two days of race training provided alongside two days of passage racing and a day of cruising this trip has something for everyone. Not only that but it is open to all levels of experience.
The yacht, Taeping is the first ever round the world race yacht which was “open to all” in a round the world yacht race. Originally part of the Clipper Ventures fleet of 60 foot ocean racing yachts since she came to Scotland in 2017. Since then she has won both line honours and first overall in the 2018 St.Kilda challenge, with a crew whose average age was 64! She also achieved fastest time over the water in the grueling Scottish Islands Peaks Race in 2018. Operating in race mode for the 2019 Scottish Series event we hope to clock up some more podium finishes.
Due to the already high level of interest in this event interested parties should contact us using the form below in the first instance. Successful applicants will then be provided with a link to reserve a berth for the event and pay their deposit.
