Expedition Report 2 June - It's been a bit, well, blowy

After some very muddled weather over the last 48 hours, we think the official term is “unstable system”, we are back underway again heading North from our extended stop at Port Ellen as the team continue their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award expedition.

With plenty of theory doing knots, navigational practise and learning more about life at sea over the last day it’s been great to depart the marina again after the high winds we have seen yesterday. Combined with the frustration of lighter winds before that we are all hoping for champagne sailing conditions today. Well, we will settle for the opportunity to enjoy a good run with the engine switched off :-)

As we test out our sea legs again today’s update will be a quick one but stay tuned for more updates in our blog and on the Facebook page.
