Expedition Report 15 June - What's the Story!

We started off on the 15th with another bow to stern clean of Taeping. Once sparkling we headed out and soon had the mainsail hoisted. This time we hoisted the main with only one reef in it so almost the full sail. Winds were a little lighter today but we made good progress to Tobermory. If you are old enough (or young enough) you may know of Balamory, the kids programme based around the colourful houses on the coast at Tobermory.

With our wildlife spotters identifying a couple of porpoises as we entered the bay we got to practice picking up a mooring buoy before we moored at the marina allowing us to head ashore, well not until the ropes were tidied up!

For some of us the highlight was living out a childhood fantasy by visiting Josie Jump and Miss Hoolie’s houses!
