Avoiding an Ocean Hole!

Well, land is very much now “Out of Sight” however sight of land at Iceland is very much not “Out of Mind”. Although the wind and sea state have now eased a little it is coming directly from where we want to go! This has meant getting ourselves as far North as we could before needing to put in a tack which we did at about midnight on the 21st Sept. For some it was their first “Dark Tack”!

Hopefully now as we head west we can sneak below an area of light winds coming down from Iceland. Once we further west the wind is forecast to become more westerly which will allow us to tack again and aim for Iceland.

With the routine on board settling down with the weather its time for catch up with the to do list to ensure the team is ready for the winds to pick up again!
